Capstan, Belmont, Stay Here, & Downcast

Orlando, Florida based band, Capstan went on a 13-date tour across the eastern United States with openers Belmont. Fans of As It Is may remember the progressive post-hardcore band from the final stretch of the Okay USA tour earlier this year.
Two local Georgia openers, Downcast and Stay Here got the crowd warmed up and excited before Chicago natives, Belmont, played their passion filled set. Even with a small crowd, Capstan and their openers brought enough energy to make the room feel packed. Capstan consists of five really talented guys with a great sense of humor, thanking the crowd for spending their Sunday night with them instead of staying home to watch Game of Thrones. This is a band that really knows how to get a crowd going, including a mini moshpit starting in the middle of the room. I’ve seen Capstan twice and both times I’ve been impressed. They are truly a great band to check out if you haven’t already.
