Connecticut’s genre-bending four-piece Dreamwake joined the UNFD roster. To celebrate, the band dropped the music video for “Heatwave,” their first single under the label.
On the track, Dreamwake shares, “‘Heatwave’ is about that feeling of nostalgia when you look back on life and realize things will never be the same. It’s about those moments when you’re stuck in the same place but everything around you feels different, and you can’t help but long for how things used to be.”
The band continues, “The song reflects that bittersweet tension of trying to hold on to the past while also knowing it’s time to let go. It’s a reflection on change, growth, and the acceptance that moving forward often means leaving something behind. Ultimately, it’s about embracing that shift and finding peace in the next chapter.”

Blending sax, synths, breakdowns, and nostalgia, “Heatwave” is a taste of what will come from the group’s forthcoming full-length album.
Additionally, Dreamwake announced a headlining holiday show on December 13 at the Palladium in Worcester, MA. Tickets are available at seetickets.us.
