The Governors Ball Music Festival is almost upon us. Featuring stacked lineups all three days, the festival offers something for everyone. To help attendees create their daily Gov Ball schedules, we’re sharing our recommendations for artists to check out on Saturday.
The Amazons
British rock band The Amazons kick off Gov Ball on Saturday. Hailing from Reading, Berkshire, the group gained traction with the release of their debut album The Amazons. The album reached number eight on UK Albums Chart and brought us hits like “Black Magic” and “In My Mind.”
Their latest album, How Will I Know If Heaven Will Find Me?, soared to number five on the UK charts with its cheerful tunes.

Zolita
Pop singer, songwriter, director, and filmmaker Zolita is one to watch at Gov Ball. Her compelling artistry, which has accumulated over 300 million streams, explores inclusivity, humanity, and authentic LGBTQ+ storylines.
Zolita recently wrapped up her sold-out headline tour. Now, the artist is traveling North America opening for Bebe Rexha.

Suki Waterhouse
Alt-pop singer-songwriter Suki Waterhouse released her debut album, I Can’t Let Go, in 2022.
An artist of many talents, Waterhouse is also a well-established actress and model. Prior to signing with a record label, the multifaceted artist accumulated millions of streams with her self-released tracks.
Waterhouse released her Milk Teeth EP in November, which included her earlier tracks and a new favorite, “Neon Signs.”

KennyHoopla
A singer, songwriter, producer, and guitarist, KennyHoopla rose to prominence with his 2019 track “lost cause//” and further with 2020’s “how will i rest in peace if i’m buried by a highway?//.”
The genre-blending artist collaborated with Travis Barker for SURVIVORS GUILT: THE MIXTAPE// and Wiz Khalifa for “DIRTY WHITE VANS REMIX//.” Additionally, KennyHoopla hit the road for massive tours with MGK and Yungblud.

Amber Mark
Amber Mark is an R&B artist who crafts her refined sound from her multicultural upbringing and life experiences.
She released her powerful first album 3:33am in 2017 following the passing of her mother. Since then, the GRAMMY-nominated singer-songwriter has continued to stand out with her Conexão EP and Three Dimensions Deep full-length.

Snail Mail
Indie rock artist Lindsey Jordan, aka Snail Mail, gained recognition with her first EP, Habit (2016), and Lush (2018).
Snail Mail’s latest album, Valentine, presented a more polished, dreamy feel with its synthesizers and samples. In February, the artist brought her five-night “Valentine Fest” to Baltimore, Md.

Rina Sawayama
Japanese-British singer-songwriter Rina Sawayama fuses her experimental pop anthems with elements of nu-metal, electro-pop, and R&B.
Last year Sawayama released her second album Hold the Girl, the follow up to her 2020 debut album, Sawayama. Additionally, the singer has collaborated with artists like Elton John and Charli XCX.

Oliver Tree
Oliver Tree combines elements of hip-hop, indie, club music to craft his signature dance-pop tracks. In 2020, Tree released his massive debut album, featuring ultra-popular tracks such as “Miss You” and “Life Goes On.” Last year, the artist revealed his second album, Cowboy Tears. Tree’s eccentric sound has earned him billions of streams worldwide.

Lauv
New York’s own Ari Leff, aka Lauv, gained global recognition in 2017 with his catchy breakthrough track, “I Like Me Better,” garnering over a billion streams. The pop singer went on to release his debut album, ~how i’m feeling~, which reached number 16 on the Billboard 200.
Over the years, Lauv has collaborated with artists including BTS, Alessia Cara, blackbear, and Ellie Goulding. His latest album, All 4 Nothing, was released in August 2022.

ODESZA
GRAMMY-nominated electronic music duo ODESZA will close out Gov Ball on Saturday. Last year brought ODESZA’s latest album, The Last Goodbye, which reached number three on the Billboard Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart.
ODESZA’s legendary live shows are known for their mesmerizing visuals, intricate instrumentals, and huge production.
