Yam Haus – “Sandcastle”

Indie alt-rockers Yam Haus shared their infectious new single, “Sandcastle.”

Frontman Lars Pruitt shares, “For me, ‘Sandcastle’ is a sort of melancholic acceptance of the past few years. We build up our lives meticulously. The next moment, a breaker rolls in and washes it away — it’s kind of exciting, kind of exhausting, kind of terrifying, beautiful, horrible, tragic, almost funny in a sad way. It actually feels really good to let go of what you can’t control, and acknowledge the complete frailty of our little lives. I think there’s some really good stuff on the other side of that.”

Describing the fiery track, co-vocalist Han Mee says, “We can’t be helped, we just wanna squeeze out every morsel of this life and being a bit of a wreckhead has come hand in hand with the pursuit of fun. Can’t be stopped, don’t wanna be stopped, we’re sorry but we’re not, maybe we’re just lost. Who cares, life’s about connection n getting off the fuckin internet n losing ur mind on the streets of Manny and finding it again on your way home.”
