Female-fronted alt-rock outlet Light It Up has teamed up with Sound Session to bring you the premiere of their cover of Halsey’s “Eyes Closed.”
The cover features a punk twist to the pop singer’s hit song. Light It Up swaps out trap beats for edgy instrumentals, while preserving the role of strong female vocals in eluding to the song’s badass vibe.
By playing shows with established acts and embarking on multiple tours, the Connecticut natives have managed to establish a strong following, not only in their hometown, but also throughout the country. Prominent artists they’ve supported include We The Kings, Hawthorne Heights, Metro Station, and more.
Drawing inspiration from PVRIS, Paramore, and Halsey herself, the five-piece rock group puts their own edge on the alternative genre.
